HotEnd Family for Sigma

Description

The Hotend family of the BCN3D Sigma R17 is a collection of the different nozzles that are available for printing on the Sigma R17. These diameters are:
0.3 mm
0.4 mm
0.5 mm Special
0.6 mm
0.8 mm
1.0 mm

Thanks to this hotend family you have more versatile print possibilities. The 0.3 mm nozzle allows you to print faster and with more details, while the 0.8 mm nozzle and 1.0 mm nozzle drastically lower the print times. These last 2 nozzles were designed to ensure a high flow of melted plastic.

The 0.5 mm Special hotend is allows you to print abrasive filaments, like filaments infused with wood, carbon or metal particles. The specifically chosen steel and thermal post process make that this nozzle is more wear resistant.

Last, there is also the possibility to combine to different diameter nozzles. Depending on the print, you can combine a 0.3 mm nozzle to print the outer quality surface with a 1.0 mm nozzle to print the infill. That way, the printing process can be up to 3 times faster without giving up the quality of the surface.
