Description
The PA-CF Low Warp is a one of a kind polyamide formulation with the ability to print nearly warp free on non heated buildplatforms. PA-CF Low Warp excels in tensile and impact strength and allows continues use at 120°C while retaining sufficient mechanical properties.
CARBON FIBER IS ABRASIVE
A special point of attention is the abrasive nature of the carbon fibers. In general these fibers will accelerate the nozzle-wear of brass nozzles, much faster than unfilled filaments. ColorFabb recommends to using wear resistant nozzles, such as E3D hardened steel nozzle, 3DSolex Steel or Everlast nozzles or Olsson Ruby nozzle.
Specifications
The PA-CF Low Warp is a one of a kind polyamide formulation with the ability to print nearly warp free on non heated buildplatforms. Low infill prints come out perfectly flat on cold bed for higher infill prints 40/50C temperature is enough to obtain flat prints.
PA-CF low warp is infused with carbon fiber for increased stiffness. Users are recommended to use wear resistant nozzles, such as E3D Hardened steel nozzle or Olsson Ruby.
PA-CF Low Warp excels in tensile and impact strength and allows continues use at 120°C while retaining sufficient mechanical properties.
The formulation has been modified to reduce uptake of moisture and it also takes about 4 times longer to reach the saturation point compared to unmodified PA6. This makes PA-CF Low Warp less affected by moisture then most other nylon filaments available in the market.

Due to high stiffness of 2.85mm filament we recommend users to use spoolmounts which have some friction between spool and holder, to prevent unspooling of filament.
Adviced 3d printing temperature:
260C-280C
Adviced 3d print speed:
30 – 40 mm/s
Advised Heated bed (if you have one, not strictly necessary):
ambient – 50C
For heated glass plate buildsurface we can recommend using 3DLac for extra adhesion.
Advised layerheight
For this material we recommend a minimum of 0.2mm layerheight. Due to the length of the fibers layers lower then 0.15mm can cause issues such as clogging or partial clogging of the nozzle.
Cooling fan
50% fan cooling is a good starting point, this gives best performance on overhangs and small details. For best mechanical performance try printing with the least amount of cooling needed, for optimal layer adhesion.
